While some reviewers have noted inconsistencies in service, the overall consensus is positive. The food receives high praise for both quality and variety, with standout dishes including prawns, scallops, and paella. The attentive and friendly staff contribute to a relaxed dining experience, making it a great choice for a date night or special occasion. Reservations are recommended due to the small size of the restaurant. The restaurant's innovative theme weeks, such as a recent Brazilian week during the Olympics, add an extra element of excitement to the dining experience. Despite some minor organization issues, such as delays in service and incorrect orders, New Moon Café remains a top recommendation for those looking to enjoy delightful tapas in a charming setting.
I visited this restaurant several times and was a repeated customer due to the high quality of the food and the variety of dishes. unfortunately the service was always a bit hit and miss. for example, table booking has to be postponed at short notice, slow service, forget about it to be brought out etc. these are all points that could be improved on easily and would give this restaurant a better assessment.
Incredible food could not fault a single thing waiting staff bent over backwards, would never hesitate to recommend. Best restaurant we'd ever experienced.
My wife I celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary at New Moon Café. I would have to say it exceeded all our expectations. The food was both generous and delicious. Being relatively new to Tapas the waitress took time to explain the best options for us and we felt it was a cosy romantic atmosphere. We would fully recommend leaving room for the desserts which were divine!
I thought that eating, although quite tasty was costly and the portions fairly small calculated for the prices.
The food was very nice overall, except the cream brule that had tanned and the glaze was about 5mm thick! service was good and cozy atmosphere can imagine would be too small if the restaurant was full.
