Keepers Kitchen - Bristol

Next to the main hotel, the keepers kitchen bar is very spacious with quirky decor. for a Friday evening it was very quiet. wein was not the best quality, and very expensive!

A little confused. Trying to be something other than another hotel restaurant or bar which they 've not quite nailed. Drinks selection is very average and most of the staff weren 't entirely sure how to make anything on their cocktail menu. I didn 't eat on my visit so hard to comment on the food. After doing a little reading into where the group of bars started, I 'm still not 100% sure where the 'beehive ' theme came from. Kept me guessing the whole time I was there though . Would probably go back to give it another go.

Poor service, waited for 50 minutes for food despite being the only customers eating and they even got the order wrong. Acknowledged the mistake but failed to apologise. Food was ok but small portions for price. Won't be eating here again.

All I wanted was a white americano (ciffee with milk). What I got was a mean cup of black coffee, a long wait while he replenished the machine with milk for the next customer and, when asked for milk, instructions that it was 'over there on the breakfast bar '. For £3 (for a drink that cost about 15p to make) I expected at least prompt and courteous service.

Went there on a Friday night for dinner. It was practically empty. We were seated promptly, and that's the last we ever saw of the staff. Sat there for half an hour and no one even came to take our drink order. Like they'd just forgotten about us the minute they'd seated us. Granted, there seemed to be a larger event, maybe a wedding, going on in the hotel and quite a few people came to the bar to order drinks (beer, nothing complicated), but that's no excuse for letting us wait for that long. There were 3 people working the bar, and there were only two tables occupied for eating. Staff seemed very distracted, slow and unorganized to say the least. We left after 30+ minutes of waiting, not having had anything to eat or drink, so can't comment on the food. Decor was very nice.
