Despite these issues, many enjoyed the ambiance and highlighted fantastic service. A special mention was made of delicious dishes like grilled sea bream and calamari. Overall, the restaurant seems to be a popular choice for special occasions with some room for improvement in terms of service and food quality.
A new and simple meal, the Tartiflette which was good as a filling and warming mini lunch. It was quieter than usual hence the fewer stars for ambience because we were earlier than usual 12.15, and it’s just after the Christmas period. But this is still my favourite restaurant.
We went on my wife's birthday. First things first, the service is always fantastic at this restaurant. We go every year. I had a grilled sea bream and it was absolutely delicious. Really nice balance of flavours (although it didn't need the tapenade, nice as it was). We think that the mussels service was down on size on this last visit and the mussels were not their usual plumply-gorgeousness so I've given a 4* for food this time. Calamari starter is always my go-to and it didn't let me down. My daughter had a fillet steak and she said it was delicious Great visit, worth it for the service alone
The food was good full of flavour without being ridiculously complicated. The staff were helpful and full of smiles
The quality of the meal was good, however the service was ‘patchy’, some people were very good and others not so, we felt this was perhaps a training issue around how to serve the food to the table.
It was fantastic- as always. The food, the service and the ambiance is always perfection!
