This restaurant at the DoubleTree hotel is pleasant. The food was good, but not outstanding. The service was friendly and attentive.
This is my 2nd time eating here with my family. We came here because we were staying in the hotel next door so it was more cause of convenience. My first experience was much better than my 2nd. This time around I hate to admit that I was rather disappointed. My kids ate their kids meals so that is a bonus. I just can't believe how expensive it is for out of the box Mac and cheese $9.00) and their meals don't even include a drink another $2.50). My biggest complaint is the service. The hostess was very friendly. I think our server needs a bit more training on food handling. When we asked him for some lemon, he walked over to the bar, grabbed one with his hand and walked over to my husband and handed it to him. Really?!?!? Then when we needed a fork, he did the same thing, holding the wrong end! I was just turned off by all this that I just didn't want to eat anymore. I hope if I do come back to the area that our service is better.
We were pleasantly surprised to find this gem in our neighborhood. The food was excellent...kudos to the Chef! We want to return for cocktails next time, as the bar wasn't open yet. We went for brunch/lunch. But even the wine and beer available at that time was good. We definitely recommend this place!
