Interesting modern layout. Very clean lines. Good location. Staff relaxed but attentive. Food very tasty. Mains could have been slightly larger. Menu needs a little more choice. Gladly go again. View all feedback.
What Carolina Stark doesn't like about Tumbling Stone:
Ate here for breakfast two days in a row and got the smashed avo on toast. Came with egg feta on menu but ordered without it cause it was the closest thing to a vegan option i could get. Coffees were great and my parents enjoyed their breakfasts. One staff member is particularly friendly and amazing, lady with glasses and blonde hair. Would be great if they could have more vegan friendly options. The atmosphere was l... View all feedback.
We were always planning to visit Tumbling Stone for breakfast & decided to go for dinner at the last moment the other evening. Although we enjoyed the night & the service was professional we were not overwhelmed by the food. The menu is simple & basic (always a good thing) My partner had the Cape Grim sirloin which wasn't cooked enough for him (he doesn't enjoy his meat pink unlike the guys on My Kitchen Rules!) My barramundi was cooked well & I enjoyed the accompanying goats curd & pickled beetroot relish hence am giving a score of 3 for my food. Also enjoyed my side of charred corn with chilli which I also forgot to mention
Good place to go. Love the dessert, especially the chamomile infused rockmelon. The chicken wings are good with ranch dressing but not in a good design as other cuisine.
Had a beautiful rosemary crusted lamb rump here, was absolutely amazing. A middle eastern inspired dish with so much flavour and cooked perfectly. Also had a side of the BBQ corn with shaved parmesan and chilli salt, this was also a winner. Possibly one of the best meals this year. Service was impeccable as was the setting, you must visit this place you will not be disappointed. Thank you.
Although I'm not a hotel guest, I was still given a warm welcome. I really appreciated the warm reception. I tried the halloumi, beetroot hummus, caramalised broccoli, poached eggs and soya toast. Generous portions and I was amazed at the variety of the food elements in my dish. The latte was good. On the overall, this place is good for a revisit.
Such a cool designed restaurant making great use of Brisbanes warm weather. Had lunch and breakfast here and both times were amazing. Had the meatballs with tomato sauce and ciabatta which was generous in size delicious in flavour and only $18. Breakfast was also delicious, had the eggs benedict with tomatoes which was on point. Staff fabulous too.
