Fellow dog lover, Robyn, knew that I had spent decades dining around Lygon and Nicholson Streets, Carlton, and so she wanted to show me an Italian bistro in Brisbane that was up to the mark and she did, with "Tiramisu" in Paddington. What Mable Hansen doesn't like about Tiramisu:
This is one of our favourite restaurants. The pasta is homemade, portions generous and food packed with flavour. If you want trendy and pretentious, this place is not for you. If you want homestyle Italian and to walk out feeling full then it is the best! My only gripe is the lighting inside is a bit harsh I hate ceiling downlights in restaurants. View all feedback.
What a wonderful restaurant!! Amazing food that you could tell are family recipes made from the heart. 3 of us shared an antipasto platter, mains and dessert - and it was the best tiramisu we've had! Great service, lovely atmosphere, and all of the staff spoke Italian - it made me feel like I was at a little restaurant in Italy somewhere. We will definitely be back ????

How this venue got a 3.6 rating, let alone is surviving in Paddington, is beyond me. Absolutely the most standard borderline horrendous food I have ever eaten. The vegetable portion I received was clearly microwaved from frozen. The presentation was rubbish.Service was OK but this doesn't make up for the unfortunate experience. Listen to Zomato at your own risk with this place.
