Great food. We went on a Cudo voucher for the mixed entree 2 mains. The entree was delicious generous the mains of Lamb Saag Goat Curry were fantastic. Our waitress (the owner? was very friendly helpful with her suggestions. The Tibetan Beer may be an acquired taste but I couldn't fault the food or service. We'll definitely be back. What Rico Dickinson doesn't like about Tibetan Kitchen:
It was our 1st time and we dined here last night on a Groupon voucher and the food was very average, spring rolls and pakora's were burnt and extremely oily, mains were mediocre, the salmon was overcooked and dry and chicken curry dish was also very oily. Nice and clean establishment with minimal decor and nil ambience, but staff were lovely and friendly and service was prompt. View all feedback.
One of the best meals ive ever eaten (shakpa). service not great, but my tongue didnt care.
Have been to this Tibetan Kitchen many times in the past it seems like it has new owners now. Have to say since our last visit the food is still up to the mark. My curry was wholesome with beautiful flavors spiced well. Only thing I didn't care for was the chilli bread, it was rather dense doughy
The ambience at the Tibetan Kitchen was bright and 'happy ' which seems perfect for the cuisine.<br/ <br/ The food was excellent. We had the mixed entree, which includes the tandoori wings (really nice), spring rolls (crunchy and tasty), onion bhaji (which were quite dark and a bit dry as a result), plus the momo (beautifully made).<br/ <br/ The Shakpa soup had some handmade dumplings and was really nicely balanced.<br/ <br/ The prawn curry was zingy and flavoursome.<br/ <br/ Service was a little slow, especially since the restaurant was so quiet. I think Foodora orders and one big takeaway plus prep for the rest of the week may have been taking a bit of priority.
Food was good Tea was fantastic Service we were treated well Kindly try their Sherpa chicken and beef . Chapathi we ordered was not upto the expectation.
Tibetan Kitchen Petrie Terrace does not disappoint! We had Momos (dumplings), veg spring rolls, Somar (Tofu Curry), Kasiko (Lamb), Goruko (Beef). The tastes in this restaurant are out of this world and really is different to other Asian dishes. We are old fans of this place and the quality and ambience are consistent. The Tibetan rooms with low seating provide a casual but exotic dining experience. 5 Stars from me!
