I ordered the rump steak with mashed potatoes and salad, an... read more I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. All meals (at the time of my visit) were $15. I ordered the rump steak with mashed potatoes and salad, and it was cooked perfectly to my liking. The meat was of high quality and delicious. As the evening progressed, there were some rowdy locals, but the staff handled the situation well before security intervened. Overall, the good value and quality of the food made it a pleasant experience. I wish the new owner all the best in adding some character to the place. It has the potential to be a great spot with some improvements.

The se... read more I have eaten lunch at the Red Lion three times in the last 2 months and have been impressed by the standard of the food and the helpfulness of the staff. The serves are generous and the food tasty without being pretentious. The prices at...Lunch time make it unbeatable value for money in a pleasant atmosphere. I am told that the pub changed hands in recent months, and the new management seem to be doing well. Give them a try – I have no hesitation in going back and recommending it to others.
