the entree was pretty good, with a delicious olive pate... the fresh past was a little spicy, but despite that was delicious and really loaded with. the desert was normal. View all feedback.
What Connor Schuppe doesn't like about The Pantry by Novotel Brisbane:
Pretty average Hotel with pretty average food. The 4 star rating this hotel has must be self rated. The restaurant is located on the ground floor of the Hotel just behind the bar and during the day, the restaurant is flooded with daylight through the large floor to ceiling door windows. At night it's dimly lit setting a casual evening experience Breakfast buffet at $30 or $15 for the basic offers a variety of options... View all feedback.
Had a Groupon 2 courses dinner last night at Pantry restaurant in the Novotel hotel. Set-up is quite grand and I love the ceiling decor. Serivice deserves thumb-up due to the fact that the waiter automatically asked if we need some dish dish plate to share or entree, which is a very good observation and taking care of the diners. That is what we mean by service. Ordered the entrees of Thai Spicy Fried Calarmari, Salt & Pepper Chicken Wings and mains of Grilled Pork Cutlets & 400g Sirloin (they did not have the rib fillet last night). Portions of chicken wings seemed too small for the price of $36 and the texture was too dried, however, taste was good. Texture of calamari was not consistent but the sauce was delicious. Cuilinary skill on the sirloin and pork cutlet is good, particularly the sirloin was done perfectly med-rared (the best degree of steak preparation lately). We were filled up so full that our stomach could not accommodate any dessert. Overall, I feel happy with the dinner, particularly with a good deal from Groupon. Having said that, the menu's prices seems to be reasonable except the chicken wings. Recommend foodies to have a go!

Luckily or unlucky whatever the case maybe, we had a coupon deal here. We were expecting a half decent meal & that is what we received! The entrée was swimming in what tasted like bottled mayo. Prawns were acceptable. Calamari inconsistent hit & miss with regards to tenderness. Mains average, potato's accompanying chicken dish inconsistent again, some cooked some not. Chicken was bland, as was my barramundi, (I actually ordered extra chilli) tad dry also. Service good although a long wait for mains. We have another coupon for b/f so here's hoping it proves better than dinner!!
We used a Groupon voucher today for a buffet breakfast at The Pantry restuarant in the Novotel Brisbane. The bacon was burnt on the ends and didn't taste very fresh or pleasant at all. It was lukewarm. The mushrooms, almost cold, tasted "stewed". The cooked tomatoes were again lukewarm as was the scrambled eggs. Unable to continue after a few mouthfuls, I looked for something else and finally ended up with a couple of danish tarts and a cup of tea. Both of these were fine but what I really wanted was a lovely hot breakfast..........sadly that wasn't possible. Service was polite but casual and no one asked us if we had everything we wanted or if our meal was ok. They simply cleared tables. The atmosphere and ambience of especially the foyer of the Novotel is lovely. There is a lovely smell which must be coming tbrough the aircon. Looks good, but couldn't find a comfortable seat to sit and read the paper. The Pantry restuarant is just average as far as ambience goes. This was just my personal experience. 1.5/10
