We visited the Euro on 11 May for a leisurely dinner for two. We loved every minute wonderful ambience, attentive and friendly service and spectacular food. The wine list is almost too extensive and we found it hard to decide from so many excellent offerings. The food was suberb I had the scallops and fish of the day both were excellent. My husband had the pork belly and steak and gave both rave reviews. We loved our... View all feedback.
What Armani Klocko doesn't like about The Laneway:
Read all the review and saw the amount of award that the young chef got. I have to try it. But sadly we were disappointed. Ingredients were fresh and the course meal had a lot of food. We find the meal lack the whao...factor. They were very ordinary and not much technic in making them. Lacks flare. Average View all feedback.
My husband and I visited the euro for our 10-year anniversary. The food was divine, but the service was terrible. I strongly believe that the service is always part of Diner's experience and can make or break a Diner's opinion about the restaurant. We waited some time, sitting between and taking our order. We had to ask for bread and refill our wine glasses. The bread came after our main meal. Immediately after our dessert and still sitting at the table with full cocktail glasses, we dropped the bill on our table. I was absolutely shocked at the waitress, we hadn't asked about the bill and wanted to enjoy our time at the restaurant. The restaurant wasn't full, so I'm not sure why we stick together. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.
This is our 2nd visit and sad to say it is very disappointing. As different as our first visit to March this year. Not sure if kitchen management has changed, but certainly not the same standard. 5 big disappointments tonight. (1) Portions were extraordinarily small (2) bread that came out was cold and hard (3) 2 of our guests ordered the same dish (grilled snapper) and the portions of both dishes were so different that we almost sent it back. It was so obvious to just look at them, someone could see it alone, a professional kitchen (4) ordering a grilled Beetroot court as a main that came COLD?! Do they not know that it is winter time and why do they not tell us that this is a COLD court for a IMPORTANT? (5) The cloth bowl came out and you could hardly chew on her and it was tasteless. Like chewing on laces! I'm sorry, but that's so disappointing. On the plus side, the employees were... You really need to think new and bring your act together before we come back.
Came for lunch. Has originally booked, it is Sister Restaurant Urbane for dinner and had to change arrangements for lunch with change of travel. We were not disappointed. The staff is excellent. Good knowledge of their food and wine. We had a cozy food with a nice bottle of wine. The octopus salad and the sea snails we had for the starters were exceptional. The wagyu beef burger is the best burger I had. The fetters were also divine. We had the best food in Brisbane and throughout our entire trip to Australia. Very recommended.
I took my wife, 19-year-old daughter and her girlfriend for dinner on Saturday night. While the food was fantastic, bar service was very slow and drink badly mixed (30 minutes to get a simple cocktail for example), there were too few waiting staff (very slow to take orders etc.), and the group of women who came a drink at 9 a.m. and loudly from sitting in the lounge really sang an acidic finish to the night. This last point is in particular not what you expect from a restaurant that advertises itself as a ...fantastic establishment with impeccable service... it was rather disappointing.
Really disappointed by degustation last night. Menu was different to what we were told. Suppose to be 3 seafood and 3 meat. Was 2 vegetarian, 2 seafood, 2 meat. A couple of dishes were pretty average. Average experience overall with food and service. Wine was good, though if you are in a group probably better off buying bottles of the wine as pours seemed smallish and inconsistent across the table.
