While some diners found the food outstanding, specifically praising the degustation menus and European wine selection, others were disappointed by the lackluster dishes and service mishaps. The establishment seems to have potential, with interesting dishes and attentive staff, but inconsistencies in execution and service quality leave room for improvement. Despite some positive aspects, such as accommodating waitstaff and unique wine pairings, The Euro falls short of delivering a consistently exceptional dining experience.
Enjoyed a lovely Friday night here. The gnocchi was delicious, soft and cheeses while the smoked pork was tender and flavourful, particularly with the condiments. Each of the mains were cooked to perfection and had different flavour bursts, with the steak and kangaroo cooked perfectly. Service was fantastic and the food arrived promptly, definitely a favourite and will be returning!
A nice place for a meal, beautifully presented, tasty and great service but nothing too special about it all. I definitely recommend the beef for the main.
Have long had The Euro on my list of places to try, especially after eating at Urbane earlier in the year. Thinking that as such an established institution it would be around for years still, I kept it on the list for a later date, but only until I realised it would be permanently closing after Christmas this year. At which point I made immediate plans to go. My first reservation with Iron Fist was thwarted due to a storm the night before which meant they couldn't hold the next day's lunch service, luckily another companion of mine, ,the Enigmatic L, decided that it was time for us to go there for a cozy Saturday night dinner.
Had the 5 course degustation today. 3 out of 5 meals were really good, but the other 2 was a miss (the taste profile just wasn’t spot on.. a bit too salty.. too sweet, mismatch.. beef a bit dry and tough). Atmosphere was good but not amazing. Waiter is very attentive and polite.
We did a Groupon 5 courses degustation with matching wine last Friday. It was a good experience. Firstly, booking had some issues as Groupon told us to use Groupon booking website, but the Euro only checks bookings from dimmi or phone call. If anyone get Groupon deal with them, please call them, ignore the Groupon instruction I guess. The meal was fancy. Every course matches a different wine. Wine tasting is interesting, but you might get tipsy or be full by wine before finishing the meal. Lamb dish was a bit under cooked, super chewy, I have to spit it out. Corn Risotto (no photo) is a bit salty. Melon sorbet in the dessert was not my taste. Anyway, I love the rest, especially 2 seafood courses: squid and fish plus the service.
