Favourite Thai. My whole family has been going to Thai Kitchen in Wilston since Judy opened about 15 years ago. Best Thai in Brisbane. Would recommend to anyone. Many interstate friends still rave about this restaurant. View all feedback.
What Demi Rizzi doesn't like about Thai Kitchen:
Went here for take away a few weeks ago. The dish when I got home had red/orange oil floating on top, tried to mix it in but there was so much of it it wouldn't go away. The meat was very chewy and hard but the flavour was nice. Probably wouldn't order from here again. View all feedback.
For 20 years (!!!!) Judy and her team have been supplying Wilston with delicious fresh meals and great service.
I booked this place as a last minute dinner meeting with some team members, when I 1st walked in not what I was expecting, for this area, but none the less we had our meeting here and the meal was good and very well priced, we shared about six dishes and the total worked out at about $25 per head, all the meals tasted great good clean Thai cooking, I was very impressed with the Green curry one of the better one I’ve had.
We wanted to try this restaurant because of the menu it offers, and we liked it, although it didn't pass the test.
I can only go off the two dishes starter that we ordered, but based on these I would not go back in a hurry. Penang curry had flavour albeit not the nicest Penang I've had. It came with meat only; no vegetables except...for the couple of pieces of raw carrots on top as garnish. The chilli basil stir fry didn't have much flavour. It was okay, but again it came with no vegetables. Both dishes were served in long, shallow platters so the food got very cold very quickly. And there was minimal sauce/curry so I had nothing to flavour my rice. But there was a decent amount of meat. Satay chicken as a starter was not great. The staff member who served us however was absolutely lovely very attentive. If dishes were served in deep bowls, my experience would have been a lot better.
The place is not inspiring to look at with basic tables and chairs. Luckily I booked a table for the of us as there were no spare ones last night (a Wednesday). The food was great and although it is BYO there are no...corkage charges and they provided us wine bottle coolers to keep our wine cold. Althougu I had read that the food was on the expensive side I didn't find this. We paid a head for two courses with more than enough food. One thing to watch is the early close of and last food orders at which I understand is strictly adhered to. I'll definitely be going back.
