I stopped in here for brunch. I chose the outdoor seating so I could watch the world pass by on Boundary Street. The big vegetarian breakfast was huge. It included: 2 poached eggs (and they were nice and soft), avocado, a hash brown, a generous serving of mushrooms, 2 slices of pan fried halloumi, a pot of delicious home-made beans and a slice of toast. What User doesn't like about tempo cafe:
First of all they told me 15 mins wait though it was more like 30 minutes but I don't really mind that. Then my poached eggs arrived, well done, not even runny and artichokes were bitter as. So quite disappointing, for their credit extra avo for 3.5 you got a whole avo which is pretty rare. Wouldn't advise it. View all feedback.
With 2 friends I had a breakfast and catch up. The food was excellent and service good but it was expensive compared to nearby cafes.

The service is very friendly. The waiter was new. He initially got my coffee order wrong. But, as he was so nice about it, I really didn't mind. For $18.50 this is a great meal. I thoroughly enjoyed how the staff don't rush you. That's what I call an ideal brunch.
Quaint little caffe on the street on boundary street. Prompt friendly service, absolutely wonderful coffee and great food. Well priced for the quality. Very hard to find a park, but there is parking around the corner. Great little place to enjoy your morning coffee and watch the work go by. Thumb up from us.
We went for a big breakfast here after midday - the breakfasts - when they came - were very nice - ny friend ordered the big breakfast & said there could've been a bit more bacon - the vegetarian big breakfast was charged $3 per extra - so worked out more expensive than the meat meal... The meals took a while to come to the table - maybe due to the lunch crowd arriving? The coffee was finished for a good while & the waiters didn't check on us - we had to call one to order more drinks.... the eggs were cooked beatifully & after a big night on the town - were all I wanted.
We have been to this cafe several times and the food never ceases to impress. The menu board contains the usual breakfast items...raisin toast, bacon, eggs etc. On this visit we tried the omelette. When it arrived, it was a substantial serving which filled the plate, with a slice of sourdough bread on the side. It was topped with some very tasty relish and some rocket leaves, The large cappucino arrived soon afterwards. It is a rather small cafe with tables both inside and on the footpath. Space on the footpath is limited with about 14 seats available and in strong demand. What I particularly liked on this occasion was that the normally intrusive music had been muted to the background level that was much more pleasant.
