Fire Oven Cooked Naans for the Win. We often get home delivery from Sultans and have always found them prompt and reliable with their deliveries. On occassion we dine in the restaurant which is BYO making it a very reasonably priced night. Tip: The mixed entree for 2 is huge, in fact to the point that on my last visit, I ended up taking my main home with me. The Alu Gobi has a really smooth gravy for dipping the wood... What Gerhard Sawayn doesn't like about Sultans Kitchen:
This used to be one of our go-to places for great Indian. Those days are long gone. The currys we had tasted disgusting and the meat was tough with a slight odour of old socks. I now see why the place was completely empty. They also messed up our Naan order. Oh well, never again. View all feedback.
We love this place and go regularly, since we have been pulled into the opposite almost a year ago. eating is always delicious and unmistakable, with interesting aromen and real chili (so hard to find in brisbane indian.) the naan is always a way out. the personal is always friendly and accommodating. great place for din in or outlier.
Still good. had a great meal in sultan’s kitchen clayfield. there were many paintings and it was always good. this evening we had lammdhanask, moglai huhn and barkberry with goa naan and masala paratha. we loved everything.
The Naan masters. Great curries. Real friendly service too. Ordered the Lamb dhansak, Goan chilli prawn and garlic naan. Both curries had plenty flavour and the naan was perfect, just that right amount of crispiness to it and soft and fluffy in the middle. In places like this where you get asked if you want mild, med or hot, we normally just go medium and it's fine. Reckon we may need to go hot next time, as both curries tasted a little on the mild side. Decor is quite bizarre. Imagine you're in the middle of a medieval archery tournament with an Indian twist! Recommended, will defo be back for more.
Great food, generous portions and very friendly service. Will be back!
Great food and service. This place always makes me a little sad. Every time we go there, its practically deserted, which is a shame, because its one of the best Indian joints in the city I tend to favour the Tikka Masala, which is always perfect, and there's leftovers for lunch at work the next day. The Rogan Josh is also good if you fancy a lamb dish, and there's plenty of naan bread and rice The staff are friendly, its not their fault that the perpetually empty restaurant can feel a little eerie. It bills itself as Brisbane's oldest Indian restaurant, though not this specific location, and its definitely one of the best They do seem to do a steady stream of takeaway...read more
