Staffs were very friendly and the food was good!!!: we had the mixed grill and the bread with dips for two. We found the dish was excellent, especially the chicken!! View all feedback.
What Alana Huel dislikes about Spin the Spoon:
We used a coupon to eat at spin the spoon and there were only 2 options for the main meal. We started with the entree of Turkish bread with dips which was good however the meal was too much. The meal was just meat on...more bread which was drenched in sauce. This wasn't the most appetising meal and we could barely eat any as there was no palette cleanser like vegetables. It wasn't a bad meal but it wasn't great. View all feedback.
Tried this Turkish place for dinner this week using a groupon voucher - food was very tasty, nicely presented, freshly cooked and portions size too big to eat it all. Nice wee place and is BYO.
BYO with no corkage charge. Small rustic restaurant area next to the take-away section. I was sceptical but Turkish friends had recommended it, so we gave it a go. Friendly service with one of the chefs taking our order so we could ask about the menu before ordering. We had hummus and vegetarian pride for entre. Both were good. For the main we had the mixed grill and a lamb dish with cubes of bread that soaked up the tomato sauce. It had a drizzle of yoghurt and reminded us of similar dishes we'd had in rural areas near the Armenian border. We asked for and got apple tea which I didn't see on the menu. All in all a pleasant surprise.
I visited this restaurant for the first time on a Friday night and had a great experience. The service was friendly, the food was excellent, and the bill came to only $60 for two people. The prawn skewers and lamb cutlets were particularly amazing. I highly recommend this place. The owners also mentioned their catering services, so my co-workers and I are now planning to host our Melbourne Cup function at the office with their help. Overall, this restaurant was a lucky find.
