Ryan's serves great coffee, light meals and a small selection of fresh cakes and biscuits. Bruce and the rest of the crew are always friendly and serve with a smile. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Ryans on the Park:
Even though it was just a casual business lunch, for $23 I expected my burger to have a cooked meat pattie, and to be at least warm. I had neither. I took a few bites but raw mince isn't my thing. The waiter took it away, didn't ask if there was a problem: didn't seem to really want to be there. I've given this place a few chances, but they appear to have given up trying. View all feedback.
So disappointed. Have been here before for an occasional drink and lunch, and again it was understaffed (just one lady on the bar, lunchtime mid week) which affected the whole experience. Had to clear the table ourselves (the dishes still weren't collected for ages, so were piled up beside us), found menus, no cutlery provided when our food was delivered so had to hunt those out ourselves. Were told bluntly by the female who delivered the food that we couldn't take leftovers home in a container. The whole experience was awful and we won't be back.
We must have caught them on a bad day. The only available table was still covered in dishes from previous diners. After moving the dishes down the table ourselves, it took over 20 minutes for someone to collect them. Our meals arrived promptly, but we had to wait for cutlery as the server forgot to bring it. We ended up having to fetch our own. My friend and I ordered pizzas, but knew immediately that we couldn't finish them all. When we asked if we could have the leftovers to take away, we were told it wasn't allowed due to health and safety reasons. We were disappointed to have paid $25 for only half a pizza and not be able to enjoy the rest later. It seems their policy supports food wastage, as we noticed diners before us leaving half their meals uneaten. Ultimately, we discreetly stashed the half pizzas in our purses. Needless to say, we won't be choosing Ryan's for future lunch dates.
This is a lovely bar and restaurant overlooking a park area. Go along for happy hour sparkling for $5 per glass during happy hour.
Great for an after work drink and the happy hour is good value. Good vibe from the after work crowd of mainly government types. Never enough staff on for the happy hour which results in a queue to be served. Give it a go.
Dined here twice and was very impressed with the service. The staff went above and beyond on both days and really need to be congratulated. The portion size was large and the food excellent. We would definitely return even if we aren’t staying at the hotel.
