The food is average with greasy and overcooked flavors, but the portions are generous. Service is described as either disorganized and frantic or friendly and patient, depending on the visit. The atmosphere is described as lively but better suited for after-work crowds than families with young children. The beer is a highlight, offering a good strong flavor. However, the overall value for money is questioned due to the taste and quality of the food. Ultimately, it seems the restaurant may appeal more to those looking for a casual place to unwind rather than a fine dining experience.
I have been to this restaurant twice and both times have been unimpressive. The food appears appetizing but tastes mediocre, primarily dominated by flavors of fat and overcooking. The service is a mixed bag - the staff seem well-intentioned but are disorganized and frantic. The only highlight is the beer, but unfortunately, they do not get credit for it.
I would recommend this restaurant to a friend to try the food, but I may not necessarily return myself. The service staff was excellent - kind and patient with our orders. The portion sizes were generous, although the taste was not exceptional. The meat in the black bone dish was a bit dry, but the crackers were good. The music was loud, but there weren't many people in the restaurant. The music volume was not ideal and could have been adjusted to match the ambiance. The German beer had a good strong flavor. The total price for two plates was reasonable, but not necessarily worth the money. The taste and quality of the food were the main drawbacks.
This review is based on a typical Friday night 7pm reservation. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by a disinterested manager who did not provide us with menus and seated us in a corner, possibly because we had two young children with a stroller or maybe because we booked through OpenTable. After waiting for 20 minutes, a young waitress finally came to serve us and asked if we had menus, to which we replied no. She was apologetic and made sure to take care of us as best as she could. The food was good and the atmosphere seemed lively, although we felt isolated in the corner on the other side of the restaurant. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this restaurant for families with children, as it seems better suited for after-work crowds looking to unwind with a drink or two on their way home.
I have been here twice now apart. Both times it is simply a 'meh' experience. The food looks goodish, but tastes average with the main flavours being greasy and overcooked. The service is mixed they look to be doing the best they can but are running around like headless chooks. The best part is the beer, which they can't take any credit for
This comment is based on a usually Friday night booking. When we arrived we were welcomed or not by some snooty manager who did not provide us with any menus and shoved us in the corner due to i believe having two young children with a pram or maybe because we ordered through Open Table?? After a young waitress came and served us and asked if we had menus etc, we obviously replied "no" after seeing everyone around us whom arrived after us, being served and orders taken asap she was very apologetic and did everything she could to make us feel comfortable. The food was good and the entertainment seemed very good if you were not shoved in the corner on the other side of the restaurant. Based on our experience, if you have children I would not recommend as they seem to only cater for the after work crew who like to swig down a couple of steins on there way home
