Macondo Cafe - Taste The Passion

Friends chose this Colombian caffe for a gathering because of an excellent brekkie they had there. they also enjoyed our youngest dinner. cinos nan always preaches in the meantime: “If you have nothing nice to say, say nothing”... so I am out.

Happy that macondo gets so much use. they are so popular that they sometimes have to turn away people who have not booked! macondo is as popular as the famous restaurants such as damon baehrel, noma or el celler de can roca, where they can not board until 2025! so cool! and in sleepy salisbury is the old flurförderungland the new cool!

New favourite place! A super cosy beer garden on the edge of the industrial estate and extremely yummy colombian food, We tried a bunch of dishes, the arepas were fluffy, the fillings were tasy, the hogao tangy and they even had jugo de lulo (google it). Thanks so much, we 'll be back soon!

I had tried to explore this café at least twice and they were closed. This time I rung them up to make sure the time that they are opened then went for a lunch. Located within the industrial area, it will be easily missed this place. Walked in and found the set-up is very characteristic. It looks like there are only two staff running the show. Service is friendly and we ordered the 3 BBQ meat platter and the Prawn Swirls two freshly made fruit juices. When the waitress brought along the juices to our table. I really yell out wow . We visited Macondo for my Mum's 85th birthday with 13 family members. Food was great, service was warm and welcoming and the deck was comfortable and relaxing. The food serves were very generous and although we were not familiar with Colombian food we all enjoyed everything we tried.We were even given a delicious complimentary birthday cake on the house!Thanks so much it was a lovely lunch and we will be back.Do yourself a favour and visit Macondo!
