We were frequent attenders at La Macelleria’s Teneriffe store, and were excited to hear that they had opened another store in West End. I wish we could see the flavors, as that usually influences my decision. However, the gelato is smooth and light.
Phuong Tran and I stopped by for dessert after having lunch nearby. The Pistachio Gelato we tried had a rich pistachio flavor and was quite tasty. At $6 for a large single scoop, it was definitely worth the price.
La Macelleria in west end is in a cool little spot. Not much seating available but that didn't worry me. The gelato was amazing and this is a place that I have returned to many times.<br/ <br/ I still believe Messina's gelato is that tiny bit better but i still love La Macelleria.

Had some of the most amazing flavours here at la macelleria! The pistachio, hazelnut, raspberry cheesecake and coffee gelato were soooo good. The chocolate gelato was really rich and intense and too rich for me. They do really good sorbets as well. Their strawberry, coconut and mango sorbets are so good! I'd definitely come back again.
