We love fancy French style pastries so when the name of this café popped up in a dessert story about Brisbane, I added it to my must try when we are in the area. We visited on a Sunday afternoon and there was only 1 other table occupied when we were there. I would agree with a previous review that the ambience isn't great but that could well have been the time we visited. I imagine it gets much busier in the evenings and that would improve the atmosphere. When we visited, they had a deal for half price chocolates which we took advantage of and we ordered 2 of the domed pastries from the display case at the front. They were on a par for good quality pastries from Chouquette at New Farm and high end patisseries in France which is why they get a rating of 4. However I feel they were too expensive compared to other options in Brisbane. The options on the dessert menu was also well above the price of desserts in 4-5 star restaurants in BrisbaneService was just ok. They got my pastry order wrong but corrected that easily enough. It seemed to take a while to get the hot chocolate.

For our one year anniversary my wife and I decided to try dessert at La Casamia. I ordered the Tiramisu and my wife ordered the Creme Brûlée. The cost was a little above average but the desserts were phenomenal. Delicious, interesting, beautiful! We took our three year old daughter who can be very energetic and La Casamia were extremely welcoming. They talked with her, got her cold water and were so kind towards her. Family friendly, unique and very worthwhile. If you're looking for the fanciest dessert Brisbane can offer, this fabulous patisserie may be what you're searching for.

This came up on my Facebook Feed, so thought we should go there - and am so glad we did.Although a quiet Tuesday afternoon, the staff were so welcoming, friendly and helpful. The desserts..... delicious!!!All on the menu sounded fabulous, the desserts in the display cabinet looked fabulous. We decided to have something from the menu and they were amazing! The presentation was impressive and the desserts divine.I can't wait to go back!!!

We are big fans of elegant French-style pastries, so we were excited to try this café that has made a name for itself in the dessert scene in Brisbane. We made a trip to the café one Sunday afternoon and found that there was only one other occupied table at the time. While the ambience wasn't the best, it may have just been the time of day we visited. I can imagine that it would be much livelier in the evenings, which would definitely enhance the atmosphere. We were able to take advantage of a half-price chocolate deal during our visit and also ordered two of the beautifully presented pastries on display. The pastries were of good quality, reminiscent of those from Chouquette in New Farm and high-end patisseries in France, which is why I would give them a 4-star rating. However, I did find them to be a bit on the pricey side compared to other options in Brisbane. The dessert menu prices were also higher than those at 4-5 star restaurants in the area. The service was just okay; there was a mistake with my order, but it was quickly rectified. It did seem to take a while to receive our hot chocolate.

To balance out the previous review, and obviously food reviews are highly subjective because everyone's taste is different, but I found the dessert that I ordered to be absolutely delicious and completely on par with what Le Bon Choix serves in terms of presentation and...taste. Sadly the ambiance is lacking here it feels a bit like you are eating in a takeaway restaurant rather than a cafe that serves desserts of this quality and I have tasted better coffee. The staff are friendly and helpful. The desserts are the thing here and the rating solely relates to that. The atmosphere kind of puts me off returning to eat in. I just wish it didn't feel so much like a temporary shop or school refectory but that's just me.
