Despite living in the area, we had never tried Ipoh before so when I had a laksa craving we decided to pop in for lunch. Our order was taken quickly and the food came out steaming hot and fragrant.I had the chicken laksa and my husband had the pork laksa. Both were tasty and we finished them off quickly.Whilst we both enjoyed our meals, we both commented that we would have preferred more verges etc...it was only soup, meat and noodles. Whilst it was delicious, fried tofu, veges, and the option to have more than one meat (chicken and prawns) would have been ideal.
The service, the food, everything about this restaurant is excellent. No fuss delicious food. Easy parking out the back and a clean restaurant.
We love our asian food and this new restaurant is a winner. Malaysian style food which is a beautiful mix of various asian styles, and maybe some of their own. We have been twice now and feel they deserve a review. The food is a five, we just wish they were licensed. So far we rate the entrees, crispy generous sized spring rolls, perfect coconut rice, nice satay, we licked the bowl, and the dumplings are good. The laksa is tasty. We has 2 specials the other night and both were great, pork rib was crispy and meaty with a beijing sauce and a beef brisket dish. The food came quickly, fresh, hot and tasty, that may change as they get busy; and they should get busy. The staff we have encountered both times were friendly and attentive.
I tried Ipoh Laksa for the first time and was very impressed! We ordered the nasi lemak and the special Ipoh laksa. The nasi lemak had a fragrant and tender beef rendang. The rice was perfectly cooked with a delicious coconut flavor. It was even better when they gave us extra sambal upon request. While the laksa may not be authentic from Ipoh, the flavor was still delicious. I have no complaints about the generous portions and abundant toppings.
I recently visited this restaurant for lunch and dinner two days in a row, and I must say it is the best Laksa I have ever had. The authentic Thai and Malaysian cuisine reminded me of my time living in Thailand. The service was friendly and the Thai tea was delicious. Overall, a fabulous dining experience.
