Golden Palace Chinese - Brisbane

I attended the Chinese New Year 2017 and left in an Ambulance rushed to Hospital with Anaphylaxis. The restaurant was aware at time of booking to provide NO SEAFOOD and NO NUTS. We were not made aware of the concealed Prawns in the "steamed dim sims" and there were visible cashews on the beef dish, and traces of prawns to which I am very allergic to. So 3 shots of IM Adrenaline, Antihistimines, and Prednisolone, an overnight stay at the RBWH I wish there was a lower score in ratings that I could offer in honest opinion of my dining experience. It took 45 minutes plus to get a drink order, almost an hour for a jug of water and the staff's english was not understandable even though we communicated many times the tables allergies. The staff were not accommodating with the Allergic reaction, and I was removed from the table to the outside Mall which was packed with bystanders enjoying festivities while I was semi conscious.

I been living in china for 14 yrs, and I came to Brisbane to study. I miss Chinese food so damn much. The moment I ate the yumcha dim sim in Golden Palace , it was really yummy and reminds me  a lot about China. So I strongly recommend fellas who like to Chinese food should go there and give a try .  Keep it on , Golden Palace ;)

I have just eaten here last night, and have done many times over the last 8 months. I was surprised by the negative reviews on here as we have always found this place to be first class. Last night we had a delicious pork starter followed by sizzling chilli chicken and sizzling Mongolian beef. All was delicious and no leftovers. Normally we go for duck dishes, and they come out with the trolley and carve up in front of you making the best duck pancakes with hoisin sauce. Sweet and sour pork and curry chicken are also fave dishes, anytime I've asked they have always brought me a little bowl of curry sauce which I love mixing with everything else. The service you can't fault, they have always welcomed us like family and been very attentive. We always use our Citibank rewards so we always enjoy a free bottle of wine with our meal and there is never any issue in doing so. I noticed bad reviews on yumcha and Chinese New Year events, fir those I can't comment as I've not been for either, but fir us it's usually a Friday or Saturday night meal. The restaurant is always quiet, which I like as I'm not a fan of busy places, but this restaurant deserves to do well. The decor is dated but that gives it some charm. Give it a try and I'm sure you will want to go back.

Been here plenty of times and have enjoyed the Yum Cha, today was a little disappointing, most of the dumplings were cold and they wouldn't take our order for fresh dishes saying a trolley would come around. Well there was one trolley for 100 people (ridiculous) I hope you have improved for my next visit.
