What Daryl Schultz doesn't like about Contessa By Blackstar Coffee:
The coffee is great but the place is filthy, covered in a thick layer of oil and dust and the food is all microwaved. Also, 90% of the time the Baristas/staff have mega attitude issues. View all feedback.
Obviously they do not want gluten-free customers. a $9 blt, change her gf and ask her to add avocado, now $22. it seems too ridiculous to be true, but that's what I was accused this morning. I did not notice in the group order until later. the kartoffel fritter with the irons benedikt was blacker than I pointed it to the waiter, he told us "it should be so." too difficult, expensive quality is bad.
Here 's to another Sunday!! As I scroll through my 'Bookmarked ' places on Zomato. Blackstar Coffee comes up and so I make my way there : I 've been to Blackstar Coffee a few times and haven 't been back since I stopped working at West End. The best cold drip coffee in Brisbane! Every time when we are going on a road trip, we are getting here as early as possible to buy a lot of bottles of their cold of drip.
I love it here! It's our local go-to brekky destination. We get the smashed avocado and feta on toast and add egg to it. It's so good! Their blackstar iced coffees in the glass bottles are yummy and perfect for summer too! It's always a good environment. Definitely a five star.
One of the best spots in Brisbane, you know it when you see it consistently packed with people despite being tucked away in a side street, and with minimal signage as well. Coffee is superb. Great place to buy beans as well. They've built up their selection of food over the years but really it's the coffee that makes it so good.
