Chop chop sushi is one of me and my partner's go-to places for food. We go there really often and are always greeted with a smile and are normally seated straight away. The food here has never disappointed us and is a great local restaurants that we like to come back to. One of my favourite dishes are the vegetable tempura and they make a great vegetable yakisoba! What Melisa Bins doesn't like about Chop Chop Sushi:
The value for money is not worth it anymore. The prices are still high yet the sushi size has decreased. The sushi is very yummy and used to love going here but there is no point if the portion sizes are considerably smaller. Quite disappointed . View all feedback.
Driving through Graceville in the rain today, my girlfriend was outwardly showing some "hangry" symptoms. It was 1pm and I was feeling peckish myself. We could have visited a restaurant or cafe but she needed food asap, so it had to be sushi at Chop Chop Sushi. We drove to a parking space next to the restaurant and were inside within 30 seconds. The restaurant manager sat us down in a booth and I asked for green tea and miso soup. I prefer to order from the menu at Sushi train restaurants as I regularly find stale dishes from the train. We make an exception today as my girlfriend takes two plates off the train, an Avocado & salmon nigiri and an Avocado & prawn nigiri. They taste fine but the avocado and salmon had already changed colour. Rated 3.5/5.0 When the tea and soup arrive I order several items from the menu. The miso soup was good despite being served warm. Rated 3.5/5.0 The Tobiko and Seaweed ships arrive first. The generous serve of flying fish roe and seaweed is a pleasant surprise. Next comes the Takoyaki and Okonomiyaki. They are delicious, piping hot and we find lots of octopus in the Takoyaki (balls). The Okonomiyaki has been perfectly cooked with a light crispy coating. Excellent! The last two plates of Unagi (grilled eel) Nigiri are superb, served warm with generous serves of unagi. These six dishes are rated 4.5-5.0 Overall, it was a very satisfying lunch in a beautifully decorated restaurant. Chop Chop Sushi came close to obtaining a perfect score. Unfortunately, it was let down by some stale dishes on the train.
