What Hans Friesen doesn't like about Brat Haus:
I tried one of the sausages and it was disappointing. The casing was tough and difficult to bite through. I didn't get a chance to try any other dishes on the menu. The service was average. View all feedback.
If you enjoy delicious German sausages, be sure to check out this small restaurant.
I walk past this place all the time. They advertise pork belly rolls. YUM. The 1st time I went they were out of gravy for the rolls. Hmph. Went somewhere else. The 2nd time I was lucky. Got a pork belly roll with apple sauce and gravy. Hit the spot and I was happy with it. We also had a chicken schnitzel roll. Not great - but never mind. Went back again last week - the A-frame board on the footpath was advertising "pork belly roll". Went to order only to be told they were out of pork belly????????????????????? Honestly - get it together guys. Will head to China Town next time I fancy pork belly.
Brat Haus serves up some of the tastiest sausages you'll find in Brisbane. The Cheese Kransky and Smoked Bratwurst are particularly tasty and their bread rolls complement the sausages nicely. Salted pretzels are some of the best you'll find in the city. If you like the sausages, you can also buy them through their online store or from their warehouse in Woolloongabba.
Had lunch at this eatery last Sunday. I could not deny that I love German food particularly the hock and sausage. Although this place do not serve any hock, they do have lots of varieties of sausages and beers. Ordered a medium Brat Platter, Pretzel and Garden Salad. I do not like to have much alcohol in the daytime so went for the Brookvale Ginger Beer to accompany with the food. Four different types of sausages on the platter made me so excited. They are all good and the hero should be the Chees Kranski, the pickled vegetables on the plate washed out any greasy feeling to have so many slices of sausages. I love this place despite of the robotic service from the waiter who is hard to find any smile from his face! His attitude was worth at least half to extra one mark on the review.......
