Bitter Suite - Carindale
Bitter Suite
Description
The restaurant offers a mixed dining experience, with some hits and some misses. The Buffalo wings were overly salty and the mains were decent but not outstanding. Service was friendly but the chef seemed indifferent to feedback. On the other hand, breakfast was pleasant with good coffee, although the bacon was average. The pre-lunch drinks and starters left something to be desired, with a lackluster presentation. Overall, the quality of the food was good, the staff was friendly, but some improvements in service were needed. Despite this, the convenient location makes it a viable option for pre-show dining.

I've been here a couple of times now, once for coffee for a catch up with a friend and the coffee is very nice. I enjoy the different beers they have for a afternoon to hang out but the other day I had lunch by myself and that was very average. I had the beetroot eggs with the cured salmon and the were bit tasteless and the eggs were definitely overcooked or few days old. The crumbed tomatoes were ok but bit average. All over nice spot, nice beers but food could be bit better..
Very friendly staff, pleasant breakfast and good coffee! I ordered the 'B.E.T' which was bacon, eggs and tomato. Mostly great but the bacon was a bit average - will definitely be back just not for the bacon!
Cool venue with a great selection of beers. I tried a fruity/cherry one and it was delicious. I'm not usually a beer person but this one was quite enjoyable. Their confit duck pancakes are a must order. Generous servings of duck served with pancakes and hoisin sauce & cucumbers.
Quiet evening dinner and drinks at Common Vice and well worth it. Delicious food, eclectic wine list and a decent range of aperitifs, spirits and digestifs along with beer on tap. We had a meal of Beef tataki and the Vermicelli salad with lemongrass chicken. Both dishes were delicious, the salad is huge, the tataki was a perfect size and both were great to share. Recommended.
Our first time coming here. It was lunch time and rather empty. I can see how nice the vibe would be if it was busy and maybe in the evenings. The stand out dish for us was the Hoisin Duck Pancake and the cocktail called Vice and Virtue. We also enjoyed the beef tataki even though sauce was a little too salty. The Nasi Goreng was good.
