I cannot believe it has taken me this long to discover this restaurant. What a wonderful dining experience it was. We were a table of 4 that had just been to a show at the Powerhouse. my family booked for a Christmas dinner, we called 4 times ago to see what their vegetarian option was just to say every time they haven't set a menu yet. they come to find out the day when it was not organised at all. My wife and I enjoyed the four-course Christmas degustation, and it was absolutely perfect. There was nothing to fault. The presentation, atmosphere, food, and service were all top-notch. We will definitely be adding this restaurant to our list of places to visit again.
The first course of calamari was tough, the service was lacking, and the $43 surcharge for Christmas Eve—despite it not being a public holiday—felt like a total rip-off.
Got the 5 course degustation and the food was excellent. They even catered well to my coeliac allergy
When I visit Italian restaurants, I expect to enjoy authentic Italian cuisine. The side dishes were also lacking – at 16 for vegetables and 14 for mashed potatoes, I was willing to pay for quality, but that was not the case here. I asked for recommendations, but they didn’t quite hit the spot. While the service staff could certainly benefit from adding some fun and banter with customers, knowledgeable service is essential, and I felt that their training might need some improvement. I really miss the experience of great service. Perhaps they were just having an off night? More to come.
