Excellent!! At last somewhe.... Excellent!! At last somewhere that can make REAL BRIOCHE and understands what is Fruit Bread. These are my favourites but I equally like the sour dough which makes great sandwiches great toast the next day. If taking breakfast there I just love the bacon and egg brioche special they do. The quiches with the brioche dough are also delicious so light!! I also enjoy the sandwiches made wi... View all feedback.
What Franz Rohan doesn't like about Valentine's Bread:
I was excited when a colleague asked me to go and get a Nutella donut this morning so we wandered down to Valentines and got 4 of them and a coffee. You can imagine our disappointment when 2 of the 4 donuts didn't actually have any Nutella in them and were just plain tasteless doughnuts. The coffee was nice (Bacanos I think), which is why this gets a 1.5 and not a zero. We paid $14 for the donuts and probably could h... View all feedback.
Not sure about the coffee here (as I am not a coffee mackerel), but the hot chocolates here are delicious, as well as the croissants! this place becomes a favorite of me to the breakfast
I was excited when a colleague asked me to get a nutella donut this morning, so we migrated to valentines and got 4 of them and a coffee. they can imagine our disappointment when 2 of the 4 donuts actually had no nutella in them and were only simple tasteless donuts. the coffee was nice (bacanos, I think) so this gets a 1.5 and not a zero. we paid $14 for the donuts and could probably have made them with a tub of nutella and some stilt rolls
Can't even get a coffee.... Went downstairs for a mid afternoon coffee today. asked for a short mac, got a flat white... asked her to make what I actually asked for but after 5 mins of watching her floundering around asked for my money back. with such a high turnover of staff this place just keeps going downhill.
Great food and staff especially Agathe with a beautiful smile.
It's trés good. Finally something moved in where the Coffee Club (bleugh was on Eagle Street. Valentine's is a cute little joint with faux grass covering its outdoor seating area. The gluten-free chocolate cookies are incredible, as is the fruit toast, which is packed with apricots, figs and hazelnuts. They have a nice simple sandwich selection for lunch. The coffee is hit and miss, depending on the barista. The staff are always friendly. A new favourite.
