Ithai Restaurant - BRISBANE CITY

Visited Ithai for the first time after several years. It is obviously now under new management. we took a seat and after several minutes it was obvious that nobody was going to serve us so I approached the cashier who reluctantly gave we a couple of menus with a grunt. There is no indication that you have to order and pay before you get your food but I eventually worked it out. The staff couldnt care less about service and the guy delivering food had longish hair which he flicked from his face just prior to delivering food to the table and on the way to the table. What germs he flicked into the food is anybodies guess. The eating utensils where in a stainless steel container which had remnants of dried food on the outside The business end of the knives, forks Spoons on the top. What grubby fingers have been touching them prior to us getting there. A chicken dish we ordered was overcooked and tasteless and the beef dish was tough. Health and safety would have a field day in here. You wont get me back there again.

Food here is fantastic and always very consistent, comes out very fast and this is great for business lunches. No table service all Counter service ordering for food and drinks and for the price I would expect so. As good a Thai as I have had anywhere and paid double elsewhere. Getting a table at peak times will be your hardest part and this speaks for itself.

I came to the restaurants several times when visiting Sunnybank from the Gold Coast and each time I came with my family they told me to choose a table, line up, order and pay. Unfortunately, I came yesterday night and was busy. I have been able to get a table after four people finished their food. And one guy waiting in the queue came to me that I have to line up first and they will give me a table. So, I was so disappointed and I asked the staff or owner, if they have changed the rules and with no explanation, he told me this guy was waiting for 3 hours to get a table. The same staff began angry and yelling in front of other people plus brought another staff as well. It was (2 Asian guys) with no manners in front of ladies. I walked away with my family of 13 to go to a Malaysian restaurants and had the best food and service. If I could RATE ITHAI minus I will do it instead of 1. If People have to get insulted coming to the restaurant and have to line up for 3 hrs to get their food.. Better to go somewhere else. They should shut down that restaurant.

Service was great, food was amazing, price was even better! The red curry was the best dish we had. Huge portions that can be shared. Wide variety of menu as well. This is my favorite place in Sunnybank so far that I've tried.

I been here once in the pass over time this place started become very rude and arrogant the staff here don’t know what customer service is the only thing this place got going for it is the food the Thai green curry and the crying tiger beefs pritty good
