I dropped in just before 9pm after a long day at a client. This place was across the road from my accommodation. Happy just to see the kitchen was still open, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Delicious garlic bread and I recommend the Barramundi fillet on smashed potatoes with a terrific tomato puree sauce. One could order wine by the grape variety but if you're more discerning or just curious,... View all feedback.
What Travelling-Possums doesn't like about Ciccio's Pasta Bar:
The Italian food at this restaurant is average and not up to the quality that some other reviews claim. Main courses are priced around $30 with generous portion sizes. The waiter is friendly. View all feedback.
We went on a Friday evening for dinner at Ciccio's. They were advertising a new team and new menu and thought we'd try it out. The staff were friendly and the chef popped out of the kitchen to give us a sample of the fresh flat bread just made. It was really fresh, warm and nice and we thought this is a great start to the meal. This was followed by the starter of the same flat bread, some hummus and tzatziki. Again, the bread was really nice, but the dips were nothing remarkable. We then had the mixed platter with rice (saffron and white), grilled tomatoes and chillies and some char grilled meats. This included chicken wings, kebabs and lamb chops. Overall it was nice, but again not remarkable. I'm sure it was quite authentic, but it was really crying out for a sauce of some description. We enjoyed it, but not sure if we're going to rush back.
No longer a pasta bar! Now just Ciccio Bar and Grill serving Persian homestyle food. Very casual atmosphere and physical setting, more like a coffee shop but good food! Staff are pleasant too. Chef is the owner with her son who also is a chef. Food is charcoal grilled, plentiful and tasty. Wine list is in keeping with the menu and reasonable. Recommended!
Ciccio's Pasta Bar is a hidden Italian gem located on Adelaide Street in Brisbane. They offer delicious and authentic pizza and pasta dishes, along with a variety of chef's specials written on the blackboard. The restaurant has a great ambiance, excellent service, and reasonable prices. I highly recommend it. Magnificent! Enjoy! Goodbye.
Delicious food in generous portions at this charming small restaurant. A friend and I visited on Saturday and both enjoyed the well-prepared bruschetta as a starter. My friend had a large and visually appealing prawn and pasta dish, while I tried the chicken mushroom risotto which was the best I've ever had, with plenty of garlic, which I love. The staff were very friendly. If I find myself back in Brisbane, I will definitely be returning.
