Their verde enchiladas with cilantro and onion are delicious! The beans and rice come as a first course before the rest of your meal. I get containers of both of their salsa to go. The green salsa is spicier, but I like the smoky flavor of the more mild red salsa better. Vegetarian options: Cheese or potato enchiladas, burrito, or tacos. They are flexible with modifying menu items

I absolutely love this restaurant! My first choice every time!

Very friendly waitress. The beef burrito was mostly lettuce and it lacked seasoning or something, very bland. Not one tomato in it. The refried beans were too watery. Didn't like them. It was like soup. Again the rice was bland and tasteless. Salsas were ok but watery. I rather have a chunky salsa.

This was the first time trying Salamanders. We didn’t even know about it until we googled restaurants in Dixon We will be back for sure! The food is delicious! The margaritas were tasty and the help was fantastic. Frieda was very helpful and friendly. It was a pleasure dining here. Everyone was very nice!
