The food, wine and service were great. Mr and Mrs Ward and Fritz!

Potato salad for starter was delicious, fried eggs a few fries and some ham for main. …..hmmmm only ok. P had what we thought was going to be a vegetable soup but turned out to be something different! We managed to park our 8 metre moho outside as we were early. Food basic but good house wine. E15 for set menu, they charge for bread.

For entree we had fish and potato stew, asparagus and a vegetable stew. For mains we had beef stew, lamb stew. Desert was a choice between ice cream, rice pudding or fruit. Bottle of wine and water was included in the €12. Great value, fast service and large portions. Recommended.

We got there a little early (i... read more We’ve stayed in Brinas a few times before and really like the village. This time we needed a quick lunch on the way to the ferry. We got there a little early (it’s a bit tucked away) but enjoyed a pint in the sun outside. Smiley wAitresses, pleasant traditional dining room. E12 each. I had lentil soup (a plentiful portion) and P had spaghetti with a fishy sauce to start. To follow we both had roast lamb shoulder with chips. This came with warm lettuce dressed with oil. The waitress suggested a drop of vinegar on it which was delicious. Coffee and pudding on offer but we needed to move on. All in all a v good experience. It was busy even on a September weekday. I think this lunch deal was only available on weekdays.

Although the restaurant was full the service was very fluid. Reservations seem a must . This was a Saturday at lunchtime. We would definitely go back if in the area
