St. Bernard's - Brighton
St. Bernard's
Description
Perched slope-side at a mountain resort, this cozy, fireside restaurant shines at dinner with creative entrees (crispy trout, short ribs, elk), a strong wine list, and a hidden-library bar serving notable cocktails and truffle fries. Service and ambiance often elevate the experience, making it a favorite for après-ski evenings.
That said, buffet and lunch offerings have grown inconsistent: reduced selection, sporadic setup issues, occasional lukewarm mains, limited coffee and desserts, and one notably thin beef stew. For best results, book dinner and expect busy, popular service.

I visited this restaurant for brunch over the weekend and was pleasantly surprised by the variety offered. The selection included eggs, quiche, potatoes, meats, breads, biscuits and gravy, hot and cold cereals, fruit, and special items to order like waffles with compote. Finding great breakfast options in the canyon, especially during the summer, can be challenging, but this place exceeded my expectations. The prices were reasonable, and the service was friendly and prompt. I enjoyed sitting outside with stunning views of the mountains. I will definitely return!
The waitress was incredibly friendly and welcoming, creating a warm and cozy atmosphere that was beautifully decorated for Christmas. The pork schnitzel was absolutely outstanding—I might have to order it several times during this trip! My husband loved his elk dish as well. Overall, we had a fantastic dining experience and were thoroughly impressed with the meal. As Californians, we thought Utah might have limited food options, but we couldn't have been more mistaken; this place is amazing! 10/10!
This charming restaurant is located within Solitude Resort. It offers an extensive menu, a great selection of wines, and delightful cocktails. There's a large fireplace that provides warmth and a cozy atmosphere. The food is outstanding; I tried the Idaho trout, which was crispy and packed with flavor, served over a bed of potatoes and carrots. My friend ordered the beef short rib, which looked and tasted incredible—I even had a bite! The horseradish cream sauce on top was a wonderful addition. The short ribs were tender and delicious. Unfortunately, since we had a late reservation, they had run out of desserts by the time we finished, which speaks volumes about their popularity. I can't wait to come back!
Great service with an amazing view. Nice variety of entree options. Spare ribs were delicious and crowd favorite.
