While some guests noted it was a bit cold, the vegetarian selection was good with generous portions. The authenticity of the Thai food was praised by many diners, with particular highlights being the Weeping Tiger and Tamarind Duck dishes. The restaurant offers a cozy and atmospheric ambiance near the Brighton Pavilion. Some guests have mentioned that not all dishes suit their taste preferences, but overall, Sabai Thai is highly recommended for those who enjoy delicious Thai cuisine. The service is excellent, and many guests are looking forward to returning in the near future, making this their top choice for Asian restaurants in the area.
The Thai cuisine at this restaurant is exceptional. The dishes taste authentic and the atmosphere is cozy. The service is excellent as well. I highly recommend trying their Thai food for either lunch or dinner.
We had a fantastic dinner at the restaurant, with the Weeping Tiger and Tamarind Duck standing out as the highlights. We will definitely be returning for those two dishes! The service was excellent, and we want to thank the staff for a wonderful dining experience.
The food was fantastic and the service was exceptional! The flavors of the dishes here taste just like authentic Thai cuisine. I definitely plan on returning.
Asian restaurants (Chinese, Thai, Vietnamese) pre-prepare their meat for use in stir-frys and curries etc. This process involves soaking the meat in water after slicing the meat into bite size pieces. This process removes all traces of blood but also has the unfortunate side effect of removing all the taste too. Not all restaurants do this. But it is easy to recognise the ones that do. They are the ones that serve vile tasteless meat in their dishes that is similar to eating a piece of week old chewing gum instead of pork, beef, chicken. Sadly, Sabai Thai Gastrobar is one of these restaurants. I ordered a takeaway of Pad Gra Prow (Stir fried holy basil) and whilst it looked fine, and it was certainly spicy enough, the meat (pork) was tasteless and disgusting. As the meat for all dishes will almost certainly be prepared the same way (not including fish dishes) then it is safe to assume that the majority of their dishes will be tasteless and disgusting. Shame really as I had high hopes but I'm afraid I won't be returning. The dish cost me £14.95 which is the same price for takeaway or eat-in. Why is this the case in Brighton? Every other city in the UK has a dine-in price and a takeaway price which is generally 20% discount. Anyway, I won't be eating here again.
We were here for lunch, we had a platter for starter which was absolutely delicious, drunken noodles and chili basil chicken with sticky rice. Everything was fantastic and the staff were attentive and friendly too.
