What Αναγνώστης Καννελόπουλος dislikes about Elm Dining:
Food was good but very salty. Some dishes were amazing, others were so-so. Service was good but was a bit taken aback when server wasn’t sure if a dessert from chef’s menu could be substituted due to allergy. View all feedback.

Elm offers an exceptional fine dining experience. Situated in a historic building in the heart of Bright, this restaurant is truly spectacular. From the very beginning, everything was executed flawlessly, from the unique cutlery and exquisite glassware on the table to the incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and professional demeanor of the staff. The tasting menu showcased a variety of innovative flavors, each presented as a miniature work of art. Every dish was a delight, and our lovely servers explained each one with enthusiasm and detail. The wine selection curated by the resident sommelier was impressive and perfectly paired with each course of our meal. To top it all off, a custom cocktail rounded out our dining experience beautifully.

An exquisite experience and 4 years since I was last here. We couldn't have asked for a better evening of dining. The knowledgeable, attentive staff didn't let a water glass go empty and described every dish including the composite parts. We had the pescatarian option also. We had a 6.15pm seating and for a quieter evening, I'd recommend this seating, as it did get louder from 8pm. Looking forward to returning before another 4 years!

Our 6:15 PM reservation at Elm Dining last night led us on an unexpected culinary journey. From the moment we stepped into the transformed doctor's office, we were greeted as if we were part of the family—perhaps the special ones! After a clear explanation of the simple yet intriguing menu, we settled in, curious to see if this small Alpine restaurant in the heart of Bright could compete with the larger establishments. What followed was a delightful array of flavors and stunning presentations, beginning with the Oyster Ponzu and Scallops with finger lime, and continuing with the Murray River Cod and Gippsland Grass-Fed Sirloin. Each course was beautifully complemented by mouthwatering palate cleansers, such as the Elm Tartare kombu. Paired with the recommended Sentiol Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, our dining experience was nothing short of mind-blowing. This truly demonstrates what a dedicated team can achieve in making dining out a memorable experience, regardless of their location. A heartfelt thank you to everyone at Elm for such an unexpected delight. Watch out, bigger establishments!

Our table was especially taken by the Elm tartare, which showcased an incredible texture with pressed watermelon, as well as the Murry River cod rillettes served with daikon chips. The desserts have also significantly elevated; our final course offered a delightful balance of chamomile, peach, and elderflower in a unique take on cheesecake. With the charming staff and excellent wine pairings, I truly couldn't find any faults with this place. I would be very surprised if Elm isn't featured in next year's Good Food Guide. A huge thank you to the team! We chose Elm for our last night in Bright after receiving strong recommendations from locals. The restaurant itself is beautiful and intimate, with only a few tables, which allowed for attentive service from our waitress Annalynne. While the menu changes weekly, one consistent highlight is the freshly baked sourdough served with smoked butter—it's absolutely amazing. If it's still available, I highly recommend trying the barramundi with preserved lemon or the octopus with nduja (spicy sausage).

We went to elm randomly and we had one of the best meals we have either had. It was so good went went back the second night and tried both menus and every dish was perfect. The staff were just the right level of attentive. Great job to all the staff and thanks for being the highlight of our trip to bright.
