The chef's specialties were amazing and had generous portions that left us with leftovers. I am now craving the black bean chicken dish just thinking about it. I may have to make the half hour drive to get it again. After spending 30 years and living in 21 different houses during my military career in major cities like Vancouver, Ottawa, and Edmonton, this restaurant is now one of my favorites since retiring on the South Shore.

I used to love eating at this restaurant, but I had not been able to visit in a while due to COVID. Unfortunately, my recent experience was not good. The prices are high considering the portion sizes. The chicken balls were tough to chew, and the noodles had a strange smoky flavor that got worse the more I ate. The best part was the dessert, but it was too greasy and overdue. To top it off, we were charged for takeout containers, which felt unfair. I will not be returning.

We decided to order a small combo board. We were both happy with the taste and portion size, as we were looking for a light meal. The egg rolls were delicious, the rice was good, and while the chicken balls were a bit crispy, they were still tasty. Overall, we would consider returning if we were in the mood for Chinese food in a casual setting.
