El Paso Mexican Grill - BRIDGEVILLE

The table salsa was not great, but my meal was one of the best meals I ever had! I got the Santa Fe Chicken Salad!

Good Mexican food at a reasonable price and amazing staff. Meat was a bit overcooked and there was so much lettuce next to burrito and the water of them in the plate made the burrito totally wet. I love Mexican food and I definitely had better ones in Pittsburgh. I think three star is reasonable:

Not super fancy, but good food, reasonable prices, and good service. They have a good mix of both authentic Mexican and Americanized Mexican dishes with a large menu to pick from. Free home made chips and salsa for each table too. Got in on Valentine's Day with no wait. We enjoyed our meal and plan to keep this place in our local rotation of places to eat at.

I wasn't happy to spend over $50 for food that wasn't great. El Paso Dip has potential, but was very upset. Tamales were thick with masa and very little meat. My friend enjoyed her chimichanga and the guacamole. My fiesta record was eh. Worst house margarita EVER, literally watered lime water with a splash of Margarita mixture. You also charge a surcharge for using a credit card, you do not know this until your check comes. I'd try them back on their lunch menu if it's cheaper, maybe the Fajitas.

The food was literally virtually flavorless. I wasted $30 on takeout that is not going to be eaten. It's a shame when a Mexican fast food place like del taco or taco star is a thousand times tastier. They had the most pathetic attempt at Carne asada fries I've ever seen. My server was nice but this güera could make better Mexican than this. I mean they don't even have lengua.
