A nice selection of authentic Persian dishes. Make sure you try the Shirazi salad and have the Fesenjan. The authentic dishes are great. Support your local business. View all feedback.

The continued search for Mediterranean food in STL brings us to Esther's Persian Cafe (EPC . Located in Bridgeton, MO Esther's is a solid restaurant. So solid it worth a rating of 5. A short 15 minute drive from St. Louis International Airport, Ester's is the traditional mom and pop establishment anyone can find a great meal At a reasonable price. Menu has all the classic dishes you expect to see (Kabob, Soulvaki, etc. . As well as delicious salads. Wife ordered the chicken kabob with rice and I went with the beef kabob with rice. Both dishes were perfectly seasoned and rice was moist and complimented the kabobs. We ordered a Persian salad (Diced tomatoes, cucumbers, onion and lime juice , and absolutely delicious. What meal would be without hummus and pita bread? Esther's served is nice portion of Hummus with fresh pita bread. Esther's has plenty of seating and can reserve tables for intimate parties. Restaurant was very clean and tables were serviced quickly. Everyone should try Esther's for lunch or dinner. Again very reasonable prices and solid service. This is our new go to. We'll be back soon!

Amazing food! The owner is wonderful and you know that your money is going to him to support his family and dreams. Everything we ate there was delightful but the Persian salad and the hummus were sublime. I went in July and the salad had ripe tomatoes and crisp cucumbers with a light dressing. I wanted to buy a gallon and eat it for days. The hummus was smooth and creamy with olive oil and fresh baked pita bread. The salmon was light and allowed the flavor of the fish to shine and the beryan had hints of cinnamon.

I absolutely adore hidden gem eateries that are still under the radar. I had lunch at Esther's Palace, and we were the only diners, making it feel like we had our own personal chef. They serve the BEST hummus, and everything is made fresh to order, with an open kitchen that lets you see the preparation. It was tough to choose between the Ghormeh Sabzi (beef with vegetables) and the Fesenjan (chicken with pomegranate), but I ended up choosing one, and the owner was kind enough to bring me both. My friend opted for the beef kebab and potatoes. We enjoyed some hot tea, and she capped off her meal with a cup of Turkish coffee.

We came here during covid and were the only ones eating here. I think they were just newly opened then. It was good then. Now 3 years later, on a Saturday night, they are busy. We were told that on any of the meat orders to expect 30 minutes. So we ordered other things. We wanted to eat quickly and it has still taken about 30 minutes. I guess they have one speed. But, the food IS good. So, you need to know this and give them a chance. As it was 30 minutes either way, we could have ordered what we wanted. Although, that may have taken an hour. When the food came out, it had cold spots in it. The hummus order was incredibly small for $7. I would not order this again, except that I mentioned that it seemed small to the owner. He was great as he sent over another order. I was very happy. I think this particular night, he was slammed. So, for that I do understand. It was good food, but it took a long time. I really wish the owner well as he is running the whole show and working very hard. Give them a try even though my story might not have been perfect. Maybe you will be able to give them 5 stars upon your visit.
