I have tried Mexican cuisine from Mexico City to Pt Barrow AK, and I must say this restaurant serves some of the best authentic Mexican food I have ever tasted. The dishes taste truly homemade, especially the delicious homemade chips and spicy salsa that leaves a lasting impression. If you're a fan of real Mexican cuisine, you don't want to miss this place.

Every Saturday, we have a dance night where men, women, and couples are all welcome. We offer bar service and attentive waitstaff to serve you as you deserve, with ice cold beers available all night. If you prefer, you can also call ahead to reserve tables. Don't miss the opportunity to dance with various groups every Saturday.

I had an amazing experience at El Petate! The food was delicious, especially the lengua tacos and thick, tasty quesadilla paired with mango soda. To top it off, we enjoyed a spectacular fruit dessert with a unique combination of pineapple, cucumber, tamarind, peanuts, watermelon, jicama, candy, and mango all stacked in a half-watermelon. The dish was covered in a sweet sticky chili pepper sauce and had drinking straws to reach the nectar at the bottom of the watermelon bowl. Our young waitress apologized for the 15-minute wait, explaining that it takes time to create such a masterpiece. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience at El Petate!
