Golf was amazing but some of the greens weren't as well kept as when we played in 2020. The tater tot tower was amazing. If you are getting a burger I recommend getting it well done or you will have a super soggy bun due to the high fat content(my own fault). View all feedback.

Went in today to eat . No one took our order so we ordered at the bar. Food came (a burger and fish and chips) offered no napkins. We got up from table and got silverware . Than we ate our food annoyed with no water . Literally 90 degrees out and my boyfriend had one beer, I had water, which I drank immediately and never received a refill . Amazing experience in an exceptionally beautiful part of our state of WA.
I played Gamble in 2014; the day they opened to the public. It was a great experience. This past weekend we booked two golf days and a night at the hotel. Golf Day 1. A foursome two groups in front of us was a serious 'pace of play ' problem. I think they were trying to qualify for the Asian open. Unbelievably slow. The entire course was backed up. They had at least three holes open in front of them. The club house was called multiple times by us and others WITHOUT any help. 5 1/2 HOURS for 18 holes.....Very sad and disappointing on multiple fronts Day 2. No balls on the range. None. Multiple employees were notified and they got right on....NOTHING. This ... to me...is truly one of the best golf facilities a n y w h e r e and to drive 6 hours, spend this kind of money for a weekend and drive away with a bad taste in my mouth was very deflating. Why yes, I did play poorly. Thanks for asking. .

I wish I wasn't so disappointed. I was looking forward to playing this course for years, but left with a sour taste in my mouth. The course design, routing and views were a great accomplishment. I love the challenge and fun put forth by David McLay Kidd. Bravo. But the round took us 5 1/2+ hours with long waits on every tee box in the blazing sun. And the greens/aprons were surprisingly baked out. Landing areas in the fairways were full of unrepaired divots. And the driving range feel temporary. Strange. For a $270 round after a 4 hour drive, we expected to at least feel welcomed.
First class experience last wknd at Gamble Sands. Absolutely immaculate condition. Very fun, interesting and playable golf course. Plenty of cool holes that make you think and consider course management. Stunning backdrop and setting between the holes and around the golf course. Just amazing. And the Par 3 course was a great warmup to the main course. Drove from Vancouver BC and it was absolutely worth every minute of the drive. Stayed overnight at the Inn and the rooms were great. Loved the huge putting green right out front of the Inn as well. There’s a little pool and a bunch of outdoor fire pits for after golf. A bar and restaurant on site so you really don’t need to leave the premises all weekend. Perfect spot for a big golf weekend. Definitely plan on coming back soon. Highly recommended. Stoked for the day they open the 2nd full course!
