I've never had the pleasure of cutting my pizza with such a sharp knife. Simply fantastic. The pizza and the view were also top-notch

I don't usually write reviews, but everyone should avoid this place. It was our worst dining experience on Lake Garda... the food was tasteless, but that's the least of it—the service was absolutely ridiculous. Three clueless waiters were wandering around the place like they were on their first day on the job. Apart from cleaning the table and bringing out the food like robots, they don’t say a word to the guests (not even a greeting , and they’re incapable of any proactive work unless “the boss”—who circles around like a vulture—gives them instructions (it’s also a joke that you can only pay at him, and you have to stand in line at the counter to pay… After being seated, they didn’t even look at us for 20 minutes, and then they couldn’t bring out the three drinks we’d somehow managed to order. Instead of solving the mistake, the server ran back to the counter and, strictly avoiding us, served other tables instead. After we asked our drinks again, they brought out the food (the pizza here is a focaccia, just saying . At that point, we mentioned the drinks again, and finally, after 40 minutes, they slammed the three drinks down in front of us without an apology. That was the end point of the conversation, nobody felt that they should look around our table anymore. The people who arrived at the same time as us had already left by that time, when we've got served. When it came time to pay, the boss did ask if everything was “tutto bene?” Of course. You’d be better off closing up if you do not see any problem or, at least, hiring some decent waitstaff—it would help a lot.

We 've been in Brenzone for a week and have eaten at various restaurants. We usually eat out quite often, but today I had my epiphany at Ristorante Al Vapor ! We had an aperitif, followed by spaghetti imperial – spaghetti with truffles, followed by a pear marinated in red wine and a grappa. You know when you 're almost done, and you eat it all out of politeness? Even if it was really good? Today was way better! I 've never eaten such an aromatic truffle, never had such a complete experience! I 'm simply thrilled, and instead of feeling stuffed, I feel happy afterward!

We spent 7 days in the region – 5 evenings at Al Vapor, because it is clearly one of the best restaurants on Lake Garda. Pietro 's service was top-notch every evening: warm, attentive, and professional. The food is outstanding: mussels in a tomato and garlic sauce, fantastic! The Imperiale spaghetti with Parmesan and fresh truffle – the best of my life. Also at lunch: superb burgers with juicy patties, pulled pork pizza from the smoker – all homemade, and you can taste it. Special: fresh bread every evening with a changing spread for the aperitif. The desserts are fantastic, and the price-performance ratio is perfect. Highly recommended! Of course, there 's also a perfect view of the picturesque lake with the mountains in the background.
