Excellent restaurant with excellent service. I visited with my partner for my birthday and we was welcomed by the manager when we walked in. He was great and pointed to a couple of lovely tables we could choose from, knowing that it was a special occasion. He made us feel very welcome and relaxed and is a true asset to Alec's. What Ray D doesn't like about Alec's:
This is the 2nd time I have been to this restaurant, quite a nice place to eat but you get the feeling it's trying to hard to be exclusive. Food was ok but too expensive. I didn't feel comfortable and was pleased to finish meals and leave . not sure if I would go back View all feedback.
For starters, we tried the duck spring rolls and tiger prawns, both of which were a perfect 10/10. For the main courses, we had skate wing and miso cod, also deserving of a 10/10. We were too full for dessert, but honestly, it wasn't necessary!

For dinner, we spent over £100 per person. I’d rate the food a solid 5, the service a 5, and the atmosphere also a 5. I highly recommend the Sticky Beef Salad. One downside was finding parking, which was somewhat difficult.
