Ständige Vertretung - Bremen

I have been in this place in2011 , I love this place ambiance . Then i and my husbanded went this place to drink delicious Bremen Beers: It was really good , I suggest everybody to go this place in Bremen.

Knowing German cuisine I expected more, the food was ok, but nothing more than that. It lacked the feeling and the service was slow.

Although part of a chain, the quality of the food and the decor is very cosy in this local-cuisine restaurant in the heart of Bremen. The pork knuckle was very good and the bill for three of these, a pork schnitzel and 6 large beers...came to just under EUR100.

We were happy to find this huge bar and restaurant on Boettcherstrasse because it seemed to be one of the few places in the centre serving drinks after midnight on a Friday. We didn’t try any of the food – it was too late to...order anyway – there only was time to enjoy a draught Kölsch beer Rhineland) before closing time at 0.30 a.m. We liked the rustic interior and the walls literally covered in interesting black and white political photographs and more colourful posters. The crowd in the bar seemed to be a mix of locals and tourists. The strange name of the place, Staendige Vertretung ‘Permanent Representation), refers to the Permanent Representation of West Germany in the German Democratic Republic GDR), which existed from 1974 until the reunification of Germany in 1990.

Went there in December 2019. 4 people. Service was lousy, so was the food Waitress was rude. The menu selection was not the greatest Went there before on a previous trip, but will not go back
