We picked Le's based on it being tripadvisor's top rated Thai in Bremen and we weren't disappointed. Excellent food, sensible portions (German restaurants can be crazy with the amount of food they serve this was much more manageable) and the value for money was astonishing. 6 people having soup and main courses and drinks came to just over €120. It's a small place and gets very busy so book ahead or go early. And for... View all feedback.
What Daphney Rwabyoma doesn't like about Le's Bistro:
Travelled to Bremen in the summer from Canada. Came to Le's Bistro to order take-out and the owner had us waiting a very long time. Finally when it was our turn, he refused to take our order. He yelled at us for no reason telling us that we cannot sit in the reserved seats, which we didn't sit in because we CLEARLY saw the sign that said reserved. He also embarrassed us by walking to other tables yelling things about... View all feedback.
Had excellent duck, good size portion, fair price and tasty all together. Service was good and quick.
Finding our intended restaurant in the Viertel was fully booked, we strolled along the road until we came the Le's Bistro. I'd been before and my two colleagues were happy to give it a go. We got the last three seats, uncomfortably perched on bar stools at a high table. Just the one poor member of staff was serving a restaurant full to bursting so the service was incredibly slow. It must have taken over half an hour to even give our order and we were more than hungry by the time it arrived. The Thai curries seem to be adapted to German expectations of heat. If you've ever had a German curry, you'll know that's pretty mild. If you want more kick, please tell them when you order. Dinner for three with starters, mains and two drinks each came to just 46 Euros. Unbeatable value but I suggest to go early before it gets too busy.
I know, you do not go to a far-east restaurant for drinking beer; but this place offers varieties of Thai and Chinese beers in bottle which acompany their food perfectly. Honestly I just had a lunch consisting of rice, vegetables and crisp duck; but they were in such a harmony which feeds my expectations for a generous lunch or dinner next time I visit Bremen; who knows when. Any visitor will love this small and carefully waited place, I assume.

He yelled at us for no reason telling us that we cannot sit in the reserved seats, which we didn't sit in because we CLEARLY saw the sign that said reserved. He also embarrassed us by walking to other tables yelling things about us and mumbling things. In this situation we were very uncomfortable leaving us to walk out and I believe this was because of the colour of our skin (though I am trying not to pull the race card, but this was clearly the situtation). I hope no one ever has to go through this situtation.
