Kimchi is the only place I can find in Bremen which is authentic Korean barbecue. The staffs are nice almost all speak English so it‘s a lot easier to communicate with them but I would suggest to book the table in advance View all feedback.
The restaurant is small with dim lights and it creates a nice cosy atmosphere. The owners could take 10 minutes to remove all the spider webs around the heating/ceiling, though. I was sure to find Korean staff but the waitress was a German girl instead: obviously not a problem at all, she was very friendly, attentive and helpful with my girlfriend who is gluten intolerant. We ordered the Korean BBQ and we were served a lot of meat which was very well marinated. The Banchan portions were too small: I think one would generally expect the other way around, but for us it was like this. Our water explained the contents of each Banchan and how to operate the BBQ. The food was served the Korean way and the quality was good, nevertheless I found the taste of the meals a lot milder comparing to Korea, I guess ethnic restaurants have to adapt a little to the food culture of the Countries they work in. The 2 main differences I noticed is that the Kimchi eaten in Korea has a stronger taste and the food in Korea is veeery spicy. I would have liked my food at the restaurant to be definitely more spicy. It would have been more fun if the music were some lame K-Pop instead of western hits . : I´d like to go again.
This is by far the best Asian restaurant I've tried in Germany! The kimchi is a nice spicy taste and the Korean style BBQ you can order is just great! Definitely recommended but you should make a reservation in advance because from what I saw the place was getting full fast and it's not that big!
The Kimchi Restaurant is one of the best typical Korean Restaurans I have ever been. Friends outside Bremen who already visited Korea ask always to reserve a table if they visit me. Since 2010 I visit the restaurant several times a year. The prices are between €€ and €€€, but you get what you pay for. The quality is top and we left always the resaturant with an full belly and always very very satisfied. There are several choices of vegetarian food. You can ask the service for recommendations and it is possible to vary the hotness of the menu. If you wanna visit the Restaurant by a group, ask for the Korean Barbecue and order all side dishes. (It would be nice if the side dishes would be included. -1 Point) The location itself is small and easy and not useful for a quiet candellight dinner.
If you are used to Korean BBQ's in Atlanta, Georgia and Southern California, this place will disappoint you. The side dishes are few, and there is no refill...
Very nice Korean place in Bremen. The food is very good, the prices also very decent and the service is great. In the evenings it is pretty full, so it's...
