The menu changes m... read more Over the past few years the Kamayan has become one of my favourite places for special occasions such as family dinners or a romantic evening. The menu changes monthly and is therefore rich in variety. The ambience in the "Bedouin tent" is very pleasant and cozy. Great location for a meal with friends or family. Definitely order the "mix all" (either vegan or non-vegan) so you'll get something from everything :) However, you should make reservations beforehand as it is often very full there.

Gemütliche Location für ein Essen mit Freunden.Wer in seiner Beweglichkeit eingeschränkt ist (Rückenprobleme etc.) sollte den einzigen vorhandenen Tisch -ansonsten sitzt man auf dem Boden- im Vorfeld reservieren.Leider haben sich unsere Kamayan-Besuche von Zeit zu Zeit reduziert, weil der Service a) nicht gut funktioniert und b) dabei auch manchmal unverschämt wird.

Unbedingt "Mix-all" bestellen, dann bekommt man von allen 6 Gerichten etwas :) ach und unbedingt ca. ne Woche vorher reservieren, habe schön häufig 1-2 Tage vorher keinen Tisch mehr fürs Wochenende bekommen.

The staff were all very friendly, attentive (but also chilled out) and informative, which is not something one finds too often in Bremen.Secondly the food is delicious. The six main courses were all priced at around 10€, but if you can't decide, you can opt for a mixed plate of all of them for 14.50€. These prices include an ample basket of poppadum style crisps and flat bread, plus the added bonus of a small starter to share. This month it's vegetable pakoras and they were delicious. The dishes were all really interesting and unusual. Great also that they state the country of heritage. Love that the menu changes every month. We will be back to try the next one!Thirdly, the atmosphere is really nice. They try to create a feeling of being in another country and they certainly make you feel like you escaped the street outside. The sheets covering the walls and ceiling make you feel like you're in a tent and softens the noise of any other diners chatting. Sand on the floor. We didn't take our shoes off, but maybe next time. Nice that there is the option to sit on cushions on the floor or at higher more traditional tables. They have thought of everything.Highly recommend.

The food was... read more I enjoyed going to Kamayan, but as a student with limited funds for going out to eat, wouldn’t recommend it to other vegans in a similar situation. The food was excellent, but I could have made it myself just as good for much much cheaper. A great option if you are out with your non-vegan friends though, as there are good options for everyone.

The foods changes every month. They always have 3 different vegan meals to choose from or a Mix of all 3. I was there like 5 tmes now and will definitly go again.
