Had a nice surprise today. In the past we drove to Speelshuislaan to taste the pure flavors of Klein Java. After the terrible fire in the restaurant, the reopening was delayed. Today I discovered that Klein Java has indeed reopened... around the corner from us on Erasmusplein. What M B dislikes about Klein Java:
Went for the first time last night, bought a combination deal for €7.50 Lots of nasi in a bowl (too much in proportion) scant scoop of rendang and chicken. A few beans and 1 egg. After heating up, the whole was eaten but very dry and 2 pieces of rendang were tough. Taste was good. Klein Java is by far the best Indonesian restaurant in Breda and the surrounding area. They were first located on Speelhuislaan in Breda and Klein Java was a household name there for many years. After a fatal fire in the previous building, they had to move. Fortunately, through crowdfunding, they were able to return again and now in this new place. The food tastes just as good as the previous place. Delicious! Go here and get food and be amazed at the good price-quality. For example, order a combination meal with nasi, rendang, gado gado, yellow chicken and some beans. You have the feeling that you are immediately on Java and walk into a traditional kitchen somewhere. Delicious! And take a bag of emping with it. Parking: Parking is available around the square. From there you can walk straight to it.

Picked up food for the first time and it was very tasty! Selected various dishes ourselves and had a delicious meal with eight people. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Everything, including the prawn crackers, is just that little bit tastier and I'm disappointed that they don't deliver to our part of Breda. Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner
