Tough to make Open Table reservations as they block too much, so we usually make them while we are there. The restaurant was (except for the bar mostly empty and we got one of our favorite tables.
Try the pork carnitas. The dish was well-cooked and tasted homemade. The slaw, beans and rice were delicious accompaniments to the flavorful pork. Also, nice to have a couple of Mexican beers on draft. Our server was brand new, but acted like a pro!
I have to go to Mi Casa every time I am in Breck. The shrimp Diablo is to die for, and they often change the preparation every other year or so. Always wonderful!
The service was spot on, zero complaints there (2 stars overall because of it). I was not a big fan of the meal as a whole. The food was bland and expensive for Mexican food. Dinner for 3, one shared appetizer and zero adult beverages came out to $80 with tip...mountain prices perhaps? The place was packed and stayed busy while there so many people do love the place. For my group this place is simply not a fit.
The half nachos w/chorizo were plenty for my Boyfriend and I. I had the best Mexican food, cheese enchilada w/queso sauce, chicken taco and rice and black beans. Wish they had healthier sides to eat. Such as grilled veggies, side salad for the entrees.
