We booked her and her cousin’s party a month in advance,... read more I just spent the evening consoling my 3yr old after having her birthday party cancelled without notice! We booked her and her cousin’s party a month in advance, showed up with about 25 people behind us, to the doors locked and a closed sign. I called the owner and her response was that she forgot about our party and had to cancel. Not once did she offer to reschedule, just that she doesn’t normally do parties during the week so it slipped her mind. Almost as if it was our fault... All the while, my daughter is bawling in the backseat. She had been so excited all day, talking about swimming with her cousins for her birthday. After such a long and crummy year that we spent mostly cooped up at home and away from our family, this was the first real gathering we planned and were so excited to feel somewhat normal again.On top of all this, I had spent a large chunk of money on bathing suits, towels, and swim toys for the entire family, so while I hope to see a refund of my deposit soon, I can’t get that money back.It’s been heartbreaking trying to explain to a 3yr old all night why she didn’t get a birthday party. I hope whoever the owner is seriously reconsiders how she does business and learns that children don’t understand things like this, they’re just crushed.
