The indoor seating included a bar area that opened up to the patio and the quaint downtown main street. We ended up in a cozy little back room, which was perfectly fine. We ordered a burger, accompanied by their homemade chips. The burger was good—not extraordinary, but satisfying and tasty at a reasonable price. We also tried a salad that had green apples, nuts, and bleu cheese. While it was fresh and enjoyable, it lacked a little pizzazz—perhaps a different dressing could have elevated it. Since there wasn't a kids’ menu, my picky eater opted for the $13 chicken finger plate, and WOW, we were not prepared for such a generous serving of deliciousness! The chicken was incredibly light, featuring a thin batter that wasn’t overly fried. It was flaky, crispy, and incredibly moist, paired with a tasty honey mustard sauce. The portion was so big that we all got to share, and we loved it so much that we ordered another batch to take home for dinner! We also tried the mashed potatoes as a side, which were just okay—slightly dry and smaller in portion. Nonetheless, we would definitely return just for the chicken and to explore other menu items, all while enjoying a seat on their sunny front patio. The cocktails also looked enticing! We’re thrilled to have discovered this gem off the highway. It’s worth the stop, and the little downtown area is quite cute. The service was good, ingredients were fresh, quality was solid, and prices were fair. Don't miss out on the chicken!
Now, I hope this doesn’t come off as overly critical, but given the high prices, I expected more. The food itself had some highlights and low points. The Brie was absolutely amazing, and I would consider returning just for that. However, the lobster roll was quite small and very dry with little flavor, especially for $35. I ordered the stuffed pork chop, which was delicious, but the bottom half was burnt to the point where I couldn't even cut it. Overall, I was disappointed with the quality of the food, especially considering the prices. I wouldn't go back unless they lowered the prices or improved the overall quality. It’s a shame because it really is a cute little spot.
